Power Flush


The power flush is done to clean out the system by sending around non aggressive chemicals by a powerful pumping system external to the boiler (Powerflush Pump), to rid the heating system/boiler of contaminants. Contaminants can and will lower performance of the boiler often resulting in reducing life span of boiler and system parts, as well as an increase of gas bill, and radiators not as hot as they should be or hot at the top, and cold at the bottom. It is important that a power flush is carried out when such things happen and when a new boiler is install, unless a new system. Where as the system just requires flushing of oils from the production process of the metals and any fluxes and contaminants from installing pipe-work etc.  Requires a movement of fluid to actively work. Some Radiators are beyond Powerflushing.

Boiler Filter


A Boiler Filter uses a magnetic or vortex filtering to protect the boiler, as well as to enhance/or improve the heating system, and boiler performance. The benefits of a boiler filter are by removing magnetic contaminants it protects, increases efficiencies, lower gas bill, and faster heating, as long as it is cleaned yearly. It is recommended as part of any boiler bench mark upon installing a new boiler and often put on systems after a power-flush, which do not already have a boiler filter

Basic Room Thermostat


The Room Thermostat is a sensor mechanical or electronic in nature, in a test zone where it senses temperature. When below set temperature (in demand sends signal to the boiler and or system) and when temperature above set temperature (satisfied - no signal). So demand switches on boiler or system (depending on design)  and satisfied again sends no signal. Basic room thermostats -  mechanical or electronic types switch on and off the boiler.

Thermostatic Radiator Valves


Mechanical expansion and contraction to open and close the radiator valve. Operating only the radiator it is connected too.
